           SASSA grant payments are interrupted for an extended period. Unable to pay bills or afford transport to work and
           food, vulnerable communities are exposed to increased crime. Increased levels of social ills manifest in gender-
           based violence, child murders, substance abuse, and dysfunctional families, leading to community upheaval.
           Cash-strapped NPOs are overwhelmed and cannot deliver relief.
