South Africa is among the top 20 countries in the world affected by illicit
outflows. Illicit and counterfeit trade fuels organised crime and is a growing
threat to South Africa’s economy, exacerbating the already high rate of
unemployment, poverty and inequality together with already having been
greylisted.
